Shakailah Banks is a communications coordinator in the McCausland College of Arts and Sciences Office of Undergraduate Studies, Recruitment and Retention at the University of South Carolina. She develops marketing materials, including digital and print publications, student ambassador social media content, and promotional materials for events.

She holds associate degrees in arts and sciences from Midlands Technical College, a Bachelor of Science in Multimedia Journalism from Georgia Southern University, and a Master of Science in Strategic Communication from Troy University. Her experience includes marketing, content strategy, social media management, and branding. Her work has been recognized with the 2025 and 2026 Palmetto Awards of Excellence from IABC South Carolina and a Gold Medallion Award from the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations.
