Candice Conder Pipkin is a professional mezzo soprano and voice teacher hailing from Irmo, SC. She has worked in the performance industry all of her life. She began performing professionally at the age of 12 in New York and in local and regional commercials. Candice graduated in 2003 with a BM in Musical Theater from The Florida State University. She has since performed in productions all over the Southeast, Los Angeles, New York, New Jersey and as a singer/dancer for Holland America Cruise Lines. Some of her favorite roles include Val in A Chorus Line, Roxie in Chicago, Amy in Company and Annie in Annie Get Your Gun. Candice performs regularly with variety bands across the southeast.
Candice is a true triple threat and enjoys sharing her experience with adult and youth alike through over 14 years of vocal lessons and coaching, workshops, 26+ years of choreography, musical direction and stage directing. She has directed and/or choreographed dozens of musicals and reviews, as well as written a few from the ground up.
Candice serves on the faculty of The University of South Carolina as a musical theatre vocal instructor, choreographer and director. She thoroughly enjoys her time with the Gamecocks!
